The Australian Car Wash Association held its biennial convention between Sunday 16 August and Tuesday 18 August at Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Ceccato Wash Systems was among many of the leading suppliers to the car wash industry that exhibited.
The ACWA tradeshow is the most important event on the Australian car washing industry's calendar attracting the who's who of the industry.
Ceccato Wash Systems launched its representation of Ceccato and MacNeil in Australia. The "new look" Ceccato range was particularly well received by key players in the industry who were excited by Ceccato's aggressive re-entry into the market.
Many tunnel car wash operators and prospective buyers were very positive towards MacNeil's move to sign a local distributor. Many inquiries were taken about various MacNeil products with MacNeil's reputation as North America's leading tunnel manufacturer well and truly preceding them.
This year saw the rise and rise of the dog wash as a new and highly profitable addition to the car washing industry. The tradeshow launched the "the dog wash" - a dog washing system that departs from industry norms. It incorporates the latest technology and design features from Italy and has firmly established itself as "the dog wash" to beat in the Australian market.
The ACWA convention also hosted a variety of international guest speakers and experts in the car washing industry. Presentations were given on many aspects of car washing and attendees were informed of some of the latest trends in the industry.
